The test appointment As with all appointments, allow plenty of time. When you arrive at the centre you register at reception. You must take your Provisional Driving Licence and evidence of identity showing your name, photograph and signature, for example, a passport. You are then shown to your booth (privacy is ensured by individual 'booths' for each candidate) where you can practise for up to fifteen minutes to get used to the touch screen system. .
The time allowed for the thirty-five questions is forty minutes (allowances are made for people with special needs). You must get 30 correct answers to pass. If you are well prepared, the test should be easy, but as with any exam, you will have to do some studying! There is no limit on the number of attempts you can make at the test - but you will have to pay the full fee each time. No discounts for block bookings!
