Down here on the earth's surface things are very different - especially for drivers. Drivers need to keep a safe space between their vehicles and other road users, bollards, trees and walls, etc., and the need to do this all the time their vehicles are moving (or stopped in traffic) - it's useful to think of this space as 'the safety-bubble'
