Every time you visit your local supermarket, take a trip to town, or move in and out of a driveway or garage, you will probably need to reverse.
To make sure that you are ready for all these driving situations, your driving test examiner will ask you to complete some driving tasks which include reversing, for example, the turn-in-the-road.
The first step towards learning these special test manoeuvres is reversing in a straight line. In order to do this manoeuvre you will need to find a place that is safe, legal and convenient. Your instructor will ensure that the location is suitable, however, later on in your lessons you will have to start judging this the yourself (more about this later in the course).
This lesson will start to develop your reversing skills so that you can tackle the slightly more complex exercises later on, confident in the knowledge that you can reverse safely and correctly.
